Gazette No. 39 — Mohawk University — Founding Instrument — Retrospective
Category: Education
Status: Perfected
Be it known and placed on record: That the founding of Mohawk University is hereby retrospectively entered in the Register under Rule 11 as an institutional predecessor to the Mohawk Nation of Grand River Secretariat.
I. The Institutional History
The institutional programme now operating as the Mohawk Nation of Grand River Secretariat originated under the name Mohawk University. The original National Vehicle Registry plates (G00-032 and G00-026) carried the Mohawk University designation. The institutional name was advanced to the current Secretariat framework as the constitutional programme developed.
II. Retirement of the Mohawk University Name
The name “Mohawk University” has been retired from the vehicle marker system and all active institutional instruments. All vehicles operated under Secretariat authority now carry the “Mohawk Nation of Grand River” designation. The institutional continuity from Mohawk University to the Secretariat is preserved in this retrospective entry and in the notice of the predecessor Secretary-General (G54).
